Cycle

A cycle log for cycles that run 40 to 90 days.

Log when a period starts and the days it runs, and Damson keeps the history as it happened, with no predicted date to be wrong about.

Damson's Cycle sheet. It shows day 1, counted from August 1, a link to log a month without a period, and a calendar where August 1 and July 1 to 3 are marked as period days, with the instruction to tap a day to mark a period day and tap it again to take it off.

Real screens from the app, some with demo data.

Can I track an irregular period with PCOS?

Yes, and without being told you are late. With PCOS, now also called PMOS, your cycles may not fit a 28-day calendar at all. Damson's cycle log was built for cycles that run 40 to 90 days.

Log when a period starts, tap the days it runs, and add spotting, discharge and a note in your own words. There are no predicted dates, so there is no countdown to fall behind. A month without a period has its own button, Log a month without a period, because in Damson it is information, not an error.

What does cycle-aware mean?

Something simple. Once you log a period, Today shows your cycle day, in plain words such as day 1 since your last period. And when you log a meal, the read can take your cycle day into account.

That is all a cycle-aware food log means here. Damson knows the day of your cycle because you told it when your period started. It does not read your hormones, it does not guess at what your body is doing, and it never makes a prediction.

Damson's Today screen headed Saturday, day 1 since your last period. The cycle card says day 1, counted from August 1, and the symptoms card above it lists the marks made that day.

Can it use my Apple Health data?

If you allow it. With permission, Damson reads two things from Apple Health: which days your period ran and how long you slept. It never writes anything back, and you can switch it off at any time.

Your cycle history lives on your iPhone and syncs to your own iCloud. When an appointment comes round, the appointment page can put that history on one page, so the conversation starts from dates rather than from memory. Logging your cycle is free, for good.
