Symptoms

A symptom tracker built for PCOS.

Mark what you feel on a body map and a simple grid, from bloating and cramps to food noise and low mood, on the days you want to and never on the days you do not.

Damson's Symptoms sheet for today. A body map sits beside a list of fatigue, low mood, trouble focusing, food noise, spotting and discharge. Below, a grid of twelve symptoms shows bloating marked moderate, and fatigue and food noise marked mild.

Real screens from the app, some with demo data.

Which PCOS symptoms can I track?

Twelve, named in plain words, for PCOS, now also called PMOS:

  • bloating, cramps and pelvic pain
  • headache, fatigue and trouble focusing
  • skin, hair and low mood
  • food noise, spotting and discharge

Each one is a plain word for something you would describe to a friend, not a clinical scale. Tap a place on the body map or a tile in the grid, then choose mild, moderate or severe. A mark is yours to change or clear at any time, so a day you got wrong in the evening can be put right the next morning.

Damson's Symptoms sheet on another day, with bloating and headache marked mild and fatigue being chosen. At the top it says this is a record of what you felt on a day, and it is yours to change or to clear at any time.

Where do my symptoms show up?

On Today, next to everything else about the day. The symptoms you marked sit beside your cycle day and the meals you logged, so the morning you felt foggy and the dinner the night before are on the same screen rather than in two different apps.

You mark symptoms only on the days you want to. There is no streak to protect, and a blank day simply means you did not mark anything.

Keeping them in one place matters more than it sounds. Bloating on a Tuesday, fatigue that came back on day 30 of a long cycle, the week food noise was loud: each is easy to forget on its own, and each is easier to talk about when it has a date beside it.

Damson's Today screen on day 1 since the last period. The symptoms card lists bloating moderate, fatigue mild, food noise mild and discharge mild, and the cycle card says day 1, counted from August 1. A companion note above asks how this morning is treating you.

Can I see whether my symptoms line up with anything?

Over time, yes. Patterns in Damson are observations drawn from your own days. Each card shows what it compared, the counts, the dates it covers, and what it cannot show. They are not medical findings, and they do not show that one food caused an outcome.

When you have an appointment coming, the appointment page can put your symptoms on one page alongside your cycle and meals, for the length of time you choose. Symptoms are free to keep, for good.

A Damson pattern card titled a longer-running observation from your own days. Across the 82 days the log covers, she marked fatigue on 32 of the 42 days she also marked bloating, and on 5 of the 40 days she did not, with a note that this does not show that one of these marks caused the difference. It covers May 11 to July 31, 2026.

Questions about tracking symptoms

Is there a symptom tracker for PCOS?

Damson is an iPhone app built for PCOS, now also called PMOS, with a symptom tracker inside it. You mark what you feel on a body map and a grid, choose mild, moderate or severe, and change or clear any mark at any time.

Which symptoms can I track?

Bloating, cramps, pelvic pain, headache, fatigue, skin, hair, low mood, trouble focusing, food noise, spotting and discharge, each as mild, moderate or severe.

Do I have to log symptoms every day?

No. You mark symptoms only on the days you want to, and there are no streaks to keep.

Does Damson diagnose my symptoms?

No. Damson is a way of keeping your own record, not medical advice. The appointment page puts your symptoms on one page you can take to your clinician.

Is symptom tracking free?

Yes. Symptoms, like meals, your cycle, notes and check-ins, are free for good. The longer-running pattern readings are part of the full Damson.

Can I track food noise as a symptom?

Yes. Food noise is one of the twelve symptoms, alongside bloating, fatigue and low mood. Mark it mild, moderate or severe on the days it is there, and it sits in the same record as your meals and check-ins.
